DIGITAL PRESERVATION POLICY

CerebrIQ International Journal (CRQIJ), an annual journal founded in 2025 and published by DB Ediciones, implements various procedures aimed at ensuring the continuous accessibility of digital objects stored on its own servers:

  • Performing backups of both the server and the files.

  • Constantly updating the software versions in use and planning for possible migrations.

  • Incorporating metadata for digital preservation.

  • Applying the DOI system.

  • Ensuring self-sufficiency, minimizing dependence on external systems, data, or documentation.

  • Implementing digital preservation strategies such as data refreshing, migrations, technological preservation, and digital archaeology, with evaluations that guarantee their effectiveness.

  • Making published files available in accessible and reproducible formats, such as PDF and HTML.

This publication is part of the Private LOCKSS Network (PKP-PLN) of the Public Knowledge Project, which establishes a decentralized and distributed archiving system among collaborating libraries, with the purpose of creating permanent archives that ensure the preservation and possible restoration of the journal’s original content.
